We are a nature-based and truly play based Preschool, spending most of our days outside! Our small school community offers class sizes with low numbers. Each class group have two teachers. While outside the children enjoy playing with children in the other age group class as well as their own. Children dress for the weather so they can experience being outside in varying temperatures as well as enjoying rainy days and stomping in puddles! Our warm inviting indoor classrooms are welcoming and establish a home space with enriching natural materials and cozy imaginative areas for learning. These lovely spaces have great value and will be used as part of our daily schedule on certain days with the 4/5's and part of the day with the younger children. The outdoors
is our classroom without walls! We enjoy spending most of our days outside on our natural playground and
the beautiful surrounding wooded areas.

Piedmont Progressive Preschool is a program for young children in the University Area.
We are pleased to offer a special curriculum for two-through five-year old's
under the guidance of qualified, experienced teachers.
